Family Calendar

The Family Calendar brings birthdays, anniversaries, yahrzeits, gatherings, holidays, and family occasions into one shared view without losing the source date.

Add a family date

Open Calendar and choose Add date. Select the type of occasion, give it a clear family-facing title, and enter the date the family actually knows. Add a source note when a relative or document confirms it.

Hebrew and civil dates

Pinkas can display Hebrew and Gregorian dates together. One is the source and the other is a yearly calculation for convenience. For birthdays and yahrzeits, preserve the family's original date and practice rather than treating a conversion as new evidence.

Dates from the Family Tree

Birthdays, yahrzeits, and anniversaries may be derived from Family Tree records. Correct the person or relationship at its source and the calendar follows. A private person produces no shared derived date.

Visibility and sharing

A private calendar entry is visible to its creator and family administrators, not ordinary members. Family calendar feeds and Google Calendar sync include only eligible family-visible entries. Treat any external calendar as a copy outside Pinkas permissions.

Printable Calendar

Calendar projects can turn selected dates and photographs into a private printable calendar. Plan and output allowances determine which production options are available.
