Account and archive control
Account deletion instructions
Deleting your own account and deleting an entire family archive are different actions. Both are available inside Pinkas, and both require a recent sign-in.
Export first. A completed family-archive deletion cannot be undone by Pinkas.
Delete your personal account
Open Account, request an account export if you want one, and choose Delete account. If you own a family archive, Pinkas will first ask you to transfer ownership to another adult member or delete that family archive.
For each family you contributed to, you choose whether the files you added remain with that family's archive or are permanently removed with your account, subject to the rights and safety checks shown in the deletion flow.
Delete a family archive
An account owner can open Family settings, download a family export, and choose Delete family archive. Access is revoked immediately; a deletion worker then removes family records and every stored version of the family's files.
The removal continues through disaster-recovery backups as those backups complete their normal rotation.
Cancel without deleting
Cancelling a paid plan is not deletion. Cancellation stops the next renewal and eventually makes the archive read-only. The family can still view, download, and export what it preserved.
If you cannot reach the controls
If you cannot sign in, contact Pinkas from the email address connected to your account. We will need to verify your identity before acting on an account or family archive.
