Hebrew versus civil anniversary dates
Hebrew and civil anniversaries follow different calendars. Preserve the original event date and label each recurring anniversary so a family can recognize both without confusing them.

A practical first step
Use separate labels for civil birthday, Hebrew birthday, and yahrzeit. Include the target year whenever you share a converted civil date.
An example to follow
'Yahrzeit: 2027 civil date' is a calculated occurrence. It must not replace the original Hebrew date in the person's record.
Keep the record useful for the next relative
Save the original item or recording, the source of each claim, and the date you added the note. Label estimates and disputed details. Decide who should have access before inviting other people to help.
